Warrington Wolves have recalled winger Rhys Williams from his loan spell at Salford City Reds after discovering that Joel Monaghan suffered an abdominal tear during their 24-10 win at Hull FC last Saturday.

Williams, who was on loan to Castleford Tigers last season, has played in all four of the City Reds’ games so far, including Sunday’s 38-34 win over Hull KR.

Meanwhile, centre Chris Bridge has recovered from an operation to remove tendinitis in his knee and will make his comeback for the Wolves’ partner club Swinton Lions against Dewsbury Rams on Sunday.
