Keighley Cougars 10-20 Swinton Lions

Swinton off the bottom
Swinton lifted themselves off the foot of the Kingstone Press Championship with a 20-10 win over Keighley at Cougar Park in their first match since the resignation of head coach Steve McCormack.
The Lions, with assistant player-coach Ian Watson in charge, fell behind to a try from Keighley's Sean Hesketh but levelled through James Mendelka and added further tries in the second half through Gavin Bennion and David Mills to clinch a first win of the season.
Winger Paul White scored a second try for the Cougars, which earned them a bonus point, but it was not enough to prevent them dropping below their visitors in the table.
