Eagles show their class

Defending Kingstone Press champions Sheffield Eagles staged a second-half masterclass as they swept aside Swinton with a 52-20 victory.

Ryan Shaw crossed for a try and added two goals as Swinton took an 8-6 lead into the break, Dominic Brambani converting his own try to get Sheffield on the board.

But it was a different story after the break as Brambani went over again and the Eagles also ran in tries from Michael Knowles, Tom Armstrong (2), Jack Howieson, Andrew Henderson, Matt Garside and Pat Smith. Brambani added seven further goals for a personal haul of 24 points.

Ben Currie added a pair of second-half tries for the Lions with Shaw sending over another two goals.
