Halifax beat Workington 20-8 at Derwent Park in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Lee Paterson, Dane Manning and Steve Tyrer (2) were the try-scorers for the visitors, with Tyrer also kicking two conversions to seal the win.

Carl Forber scored all the points for Workington, one converted try and a penalty, but it was not enough as they fell to their first defeat of the campaign.
