Whitehaven hold off Keighley comeback

Whitehaven held off a second-half comeback from Keighley to claim a 16-12 win at Cougar Park in their Kingstone Press Championship clash.

The Cumbrian side took a 10-0 lead into half time after tries from Lee Paterson and Cain Southernwood and a conversion by Jamie Rooney.

However, the Cougars hit back with converted tries from Ryan Smith and James Feather either side of Neil Thorman's score for Whitehaven, which proved to be enough to seal the away win.
