Lance Hohaia and Lee Gaskell grabbed second-half tries for the home side while Lee Smith scored the Wildcats’ other try late on.
Full-back Greg Eden scored a try in each half to help Hull KR to a 28-18 win over arch rivals Hull FC at the KC Stadium.
The Robins led 22-6 at half-time thanks to tries from Omari Caro, Craig Hall, Cory Paterson and Eden, with England winger Tom Briscoe responding for the home side.
