Saturday will see the return of some familiar names from Hunslet Hawks recent history to South Leeds as the stars turn out in force to play in Neil Lowe’s Testimonial game for his Hunslet Legends.

Grand Final heroes from 1999 who will take to the field include Mick Coyle, Shaun Irwin, Richard Baker, player coach David Plange & Steve Pryce while current Hawks Head Coach Barry Eaton, a beaten finalist for Dewsbury Rams, will put the boots back on for one more appearance.

Other ex-Hunslet players involved includes Dave Jessey, Danny Burton, Sean Ibbotson, Jason Viller, David Brook, David Close, Danny O’Connor, Giles Boothroyd, Eugene Currie & Danny Fearon.

While ex-Great Britain Captain Gary Schofield will make a guest appearance along with ex-Sheffield winger Danny Mills and of more recent times Jamaine Wray, Paul March, Gary Price, Robert Roberts, Yousef Sozi, Joe Howey, Mark Cass & Jonny Wainhouse.

For the Hawks, Andy Yates and Josh Nathaniel will return from illness and injury respectively and Paul Hughes will make his second appearance for the club following his debut last week. Making their debut for the Hawks will be trialists Luke Teasedale from Leeds Rhinos & Douglas Foster from Leeds City College.

Admission for the game is £10 Adults, £4 Concessions and free for juniors and kick off is 3pm.
