Oxford RL recruitment drive continues as we are delighted to confirm the signing of loose forward or Hooker Alex Thompson who played a few games for Warrington and played for Oldham last year where he made 19 appearances and scoring 11 tries in the process.
"He is a very strong player who scores a lot of tries and can also play six" said coach Tony Benson
"He's very skilful with the ball in hand and is a very consistent player". Alex is delighted at securing the move and said "I had a number of other offers but I spoke with Tony and I was really impressed with the set up of the club, the board members, players which were signing and after having a look around the ground decided this was the place to be."
Thompson is Benson's fifth confirmed signing ahead of the 2013 season and joins Dave Ellison, Valu Bentley, Andrew Hoggins and Oliver Johnson at the club.
