Eagles join forces with Sheffield Hallam

Sheffield Eagles and Sheffield Hallam University are joining forces to attract talented young Rugby League players to the city.
The two organizations are currently looking to recruit players eager to study at the university and further their education, whilst becoming part of the Eagles’ performance pathway.
An open day for interested players will take place at Sheffield Hallam Active at the University’s Collegiate Campus on Tuesday, December 11.
The open day will feature a tour of the University’s facilities, information on suitable courses and explanation of the Eagles performance pathway. There will also be a strength and conditioning session and a chance for players to show off their skills in a training session with Sheffield Eagles coaches.
Players interested in attending should contact Helen Roberts, Performance Athlete Support Officer, on 0114 225 6401 or email H.A.Roberts@shu.ac.uk
Sheffield Eagles and Sheffield Hallam University have a close working relationship. In the last three years, many members of the Sheffield Eagles academy at All Saints School have gone on to take up places studying at the University. The Eagles also offer internships and work experience placements for Sheffield Hallam students on sports science, sports development and coaching, physiotherapy and marketing and media degree courses.
