Dixon to lead English Lions U18s

Karl Dixon will captain the English Lions U18s for their clash with the Australian Institute of Sport at Heworth on Wednesday, kick off 7.00pm.
The Wath Brow Hornets stand-off is hoping to cap his best ever season with a win over the tourists and at the same time gain some revenge for last year’s 38-24 defeat.
“I don’t think we were too far off last time, it was maybe their fitness that got them the win,” said Dixon.
“We’ve had several training sessions together as a squad and a hit-out against Wales to prepare us for this game and it seems to have gone well. We were probably a bit unlucky to lose to the Welsh but I’m sure we’ll be more than ready when we face the Australians.”
The youngster played a pivotal role in Wath Brow’s National Conference League triumph and is hoping to end 2012 with another big performance.
“It’s been an unbelievable season for me so far but beating the AIS would probably top everything.”
