Warrington Wolves have given Wales winger Rhys Williams a new two-year contract.

Warrington Wolves have given Wales winger Rhys Williams a new two-year contract.

The 22-year-old, who was out of contract, made nine appearances in 2012 and spent the second half of the season on loan to Castleford Tigers.

“I’m thrilled to have signed again,” he said. “I’ve been at the club for a fair few years now so I am happy to extend my stay.

“I’m just looking to play as much as I can and get as many games under my belt as possible.

“Competition is strong for every position at Warrington which certainly makes everyone train hard and is probably why the club has been so strong.”

The Wolves have also handed new three-year deals to winger Gene Ormsby, 20, and second rower Gavin Bennion, 18, who have been promoted from the club’s academy to train full-time with the Super League squad.
