Raffle winner set for New York!
Tracey Shaw, from Morley, Leeds, is the winner of the 2012 Community Game Raffle.
England head coach Steve McNamara was on hand to make the draw earlier today at the RFL’s Red Hall headquarters in Leeds.
Tracey – who bought her winning ticket from the Drighlington club – can now look forward to a five-night trip for two to New York which also includes £500 spending money.
The 2012 raffle has proved to be the biggest yet with over 45,000 tickets sold. The stunning success now means that since the RFL launched the concept over 150,000 tickets have been sold by the Rugby League community.
The Rugby League Cares charity has benefited by just under £14,000 thanks to this year’s fund-raiser with selling organisations like clubs and schools swelling their coffers to the tune of almost £32,000.
