Hawks strengthen backroom staff

Hunslet Hawks are delighted to announce two appointments to their staff.
Jonny Wainhouse, a former Hunslet player and Leeds Rhinos Community Manager, joins the coaching staff as assistant to Barry Eaton alongside Gary Lord.
Mark Cass is continuing in his game day role as touchline coach and Nigel Bondswell joins as head physio.
Jonny has a wealth of experience as a player and coach and joins Hunslet as part of the partnership between the two clubs. Nigel Bondswell joins after previously being head physio at Keighley Cougars and has great expertise in sports injuries and rehabilitation.
Barry Eaton said of the two appointments: “I have worked with both people previously and the club are delighted to have these two involved in their roles.
“Having coached Jonny at Keighley I could see that coaching was a route he would follow and his knowledge of the game and experience will benefit Hunslet greatly.
“Nigel is a very committed physio who will work beyond the call of duty to enable me to have the best chance of having players fit and available for selection and his expertise will be invaluable for us.”
Current community coach Steve Parnell will leave his role with the club due to the recent Sport England funding cuts.
