NCL Chairman Trevor Hunt is predicting a thrilling Grand Final to round off a momentous season.

Wath Brow Hornets meet Myton Warriors in Sunday’s showpiece with Hunt looking forward to a game which is set to complete a gripping play-off series.

“We have got a great Grand Final in store with league leaders Wath Brow Hornets taking on a Myton Warriors side that led the competition for more weeks than any other side.

“The regular season saw an amazing finish with as many as four sides able to finish top on the final weekend, whilst the action in the play-offs has been just as exciting and it would be no surprise if Sunday’s game continued in the same vein.”

Hunt was also keen to stress how well he thought the inaugural “March to November” season had gone.

“It has been a success in so many ways, but we are not sitting back and resting on any laurels. We know there is still plenty of work to be done, and we are determined to make sure we not only continue our success but build on it for the future.”
