Hawks go back to school with Cockburn High

The camp was held at Cockburn High School, which provided all their facilities from the sports hall and fitness suite to the open playground.
Over the week the Hawks put on a breakfast club giving kids free breakfast and provided loads of fun activities to keep everyone happy, including Rugby League, football, rounders, dodgeball, table tennis, Thai boxing and basketball.
“We had a fantastic week with the pupils at Cockburn High and I would like to thank the school and all the West Yorkshire Police staff that helped out,” said Hunslet Hawks Chief Executive Darren Williams.
“We delivered a practical life awareness programme about drugs and solvent abuse and the consequences of doing this: it was good to see what most of the children already know about this in the feedback they gave us and some information on what drugs do to people lives.”
