The Student Rugby League and Milford Marlins have gone into partnership with the Leeds Rugby Foundation to stage the annual Yorkshire Colleges 9s tournament.

The festival, which sees sides from all over Yorkshire compete in a season opening competition, will as a result be hosted by the Foundation at the prestigious Abbey Playing Fields in Kirkstall, Leeds.

“It’s great to see different parts of the game come together to create more playing opportunities within Student Rugby League,” SRL Development Officer Jim Shuttleworth.

“We really appreciate the fantastic support the Leeds Rugby Foundation have given us and hope to build on this partnership in future years to grow the event.”
