Workington finish on a high

Eight different try-scorers touched down for Workington as they ended their league campaign with a 48-18 victory over Rochdale.

Town were already promoted but Brett Phillips crossed twice in the first half for the hosts with Dave Paterson, John Patrick, Chris Annakin and Carl Forber, who scored six goals, also going over as Rochdale, who had tries courtesy of Adam Bowman and Steven Roper, went into the break 36-12 down.

The scoring slowed somewhat in the second period but tries from Keiron McAvoy, Jason Mossop and Richard Farrer ensured Workington stayed ahead with Andy Unsworth able to grab a consolation try for the visitors.
