Hull FC have given 21-year-old half-back Danny Nicklas a new contract for 2013.

Nicklas sat out most of last season with a knee injury but has made eight Stobart Super League appearances this year as well as impressing for Championship club York on a dual-registration deal.

Hull coach Peter Gentle said: "Danny is a likeable member of the team, who works very hard and has shown plenty of determination to bounce back from a serious injury and earn his spurs and that makes him the sort of player we want in our squad."
