Hull FC captain Andy Lynch says he is looking forward to finding out which of his Black and Whites teammates is the best player at the club – on the oche.

The powerful front rower, who has been an ever present for the Airlie Birds during his first season at the club, will lead a contingent from the club’s first squad to a darts exhibition due to be held after Hull’s clash with the Catalan Dragon at the KC Stadium on Sunday.

Complete with a top darts MC, authentic entrance music and plenty of fun and laughter, the cracking night will see Dennis “The Menace” Priestley, double world champion Anastasia Dobromyslova and Chris “Mace the Ace” Mason go head-to-head in the Kingston Suite from 7pm.

But with the pros also set to take on some of the FC stars – plus members of the audience – Lynch says the evening has already created quite a stir among the Hull squad, and the skipper says he is looking forward to seeing which of his teammates can match up to their early boasts.

He told www.hullfc.com, “Joe Westerman fancies himself as a bit of a darts player and he’s already looking pretty confident. Danny Houghton plays a bit too, so hopefully we’ll have some guys to mount a challenge. There’s a bit of rivalry in the camp, but we’ll soon find out who can back up their talk.

“I’ll admit from the start that I’m not the best, but I like to watch darts on TV and I think quite a few of the lads do too, so we’re looking forward to it. It should be a good night at the KC with a cracking atmosphere.

“It’s also a chance for the players to come together and spend a bit of time with each other off the field as a squad. With the play-offs coming up, we need to be a strong unit and events like this definitely play the part and also give us a chance to meet some of the fans.”

Tickets for the darts exhibition on Sunday are on sale now, with prices starting from just £10. There are also tables closer to the stage with your very own waiter service from the bar available for just £20 per head.

However, the best seats in the house come on a limited number of VIP tables in the front row. Offering a hot main course and the chance to watch all the action unfold, not to mention an opportunity to sit alongside the FC squad and compete against the players of both sports over the course of the evening, places cost just £30 per person.

Fans wishing to attend the event are warned there is limited seating available, particularly in the VIP area, so book your tickets today by calling Sarah McAllister on 01482 304964 or emailing sarah.mcallister@hullfc.com

Meanwhile, in what is sure to be an action-packed match day experience at the KC Stadium on Sunday, the Black and Whites are also giving the city’s youngsters and their families the chance to watch the game for half price, with tickets costing just £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.

And as part of a special offer to celebrate International Youth Day, Hull FC supporters are being encouraged to spread the sport of rugby league to their friends and family by introducing somebody they know to the ticket offer for the game.

Tickets for the match are on sale now and supporters can pick up their discounted tickets from the club’s retail store at the KC Stadium or by calling 01482 327200.
