Stobart Super League referees Ben Thaler and Richard Silverwood have been appointed to officiate this weekend’s Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final matches; Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors and Huddersfield Giants v Warrington Wolves.

Thaler will take charge of the semi-final tie between Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors at the Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield on Saturday July 14 (5.30pm) and he will be assisted by touch-judges James Child and Tony Martin while Steve Ganson will adjudicate on any video referee decisions.

Silverwood will step into the middle for Sunday’s semi-final tie between Huddersfield Giants and Warrington Wolves at the Salford City Stadium (5.30pm) and joining him will be touch-judges Robert Hicks and Tim Roby. Ian Smith will be video referee.
