Sheffield Eagles v Halifax (7.30pm)

Sheffield Eagles coach Mark Aston is 80 minutes away from securing a second final appearance in nine months as his side face Halifax in the Northern Rail Cup semi-final.

The steel city club were runners-up in last year's Co-operative Championship Grand Final. Now victory over Halifax would confirm a trip to Blackpool for the Northern Rail Cup final.

Aston, who will check on Dominic Brambani's fitness after he suffered a dead leg against Swinton, saw his team climb to fourth place in the Championship table after last week's 32-24 win over the Lions.

But he insisted: "We have to be a bit better. We have it in us to do an 80-minute performance, but we're not there yet."

Halifax travel without Ross Divorty, who faces up to three weeks on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.

Ben Heaton (ankle) is also ruled out, but Steve Tyrer is available after successfully making his comeback last week.
