Tigers sign Tansey

Castleford Tigers have confirmed the signing of Jordan Tansey one a one-year deal for 2013.
Tansey burst onto the Super League stage in 2006 with Leeds Rhinos where he made 52 first team appearances.
With an ability to shine at full back, centre, wing and stand-off, Tansey was selected in the England squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup before moving to Australian giants Sydney Roosters in 2009.
Homesickness meant his spell down under was brief, though he did make 9 first team appearances. He returned to this country with Hull FC where made 31 appearances between 2009-2011.
He joins the club from Championship side York City Knights. He had a spell with Crusaders after his contract was terminated by Hull FC before the start of last season for off the field reasons.
A renowned talent, Tansey is determined to realise his undoubted potential with Castleford.
On the signing, head coach Ian Millward said:
"We've signed him next year on his outstanding utility value. He has an impressive C.V. with Leeds, being recruited for the NRL by Sydney Roosters and at Hull FC.
"He lost consistency in his life away from the game and went back to York to do the hard yards and get back on track. We're very impressed by his enthusiasm and drive to fulfil his potential.
"We appreciate and respect the guidance he has had from the RFL with various life courses and support. They've given high recommendations that he's ready to re-launch his career and we are providing Jordan an opportunity.
"At the age of 25 he has the talent to be a great utility asset to us."
