Millard extends Dragons stay

Exiles centre Daryl Millard has signed a new two-year contract with Catalan Dragons.

Exiles centre Daryl Millard has signed a new two-year contract with Catalan Dragons.

Millard, 27, has scored 17 tries in 38 appearances for the Dragons since joining from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats shortly after the start of the 2011 season.

“I’m very happy to sign a new contract with the Catalans,” he said. “The team is going well, I’m very happy with the coaching staff so staying here was an easy decision to take.

“I have made very good friends in the team and my partner is very happy here.”

The Fijian international, who has also played for St George Illawarra and Canterbury Bulldogs in the NRL, was a tryscorer for the Exiles in their 18-10 defeat by England at Langtree Park and has been named in the squad for next Wednesday’s return game at Huddersfield.
