Catalan Dragons have handed a contract to scrum-half William Barthau until 2013.

The 22-year-old has scored 21 tries and 161 points for the club’s reserve team in the French Championship this year.

Barthau was also part of the France side which beat Wales 28-16 in Wrexham last Saturday.
