Forty-20 magazine link up with Yorkshire Men’s League

The Tier 4 competition which kicked off in April and runs until October consists of 34 teams split into a Premier division with six groups below this and is underpinned by an entry league comprising 10 teams.
RFL Director of Participation David Gent said: “We are delighted to announce Forty-20 magazine as the first title sponsors of the Yorkshire Men’s League.
“This arrangement will be mutually beneficial with clubs being featured regularly in the magazine and receiving expert media advice and assistance to promote themselves.”
As part of the agreement Forty-20 will promote Yorkshire Men’s League teams in each of its monthly publications for 2012 as well as providing a weekly round-up of the entire Tier 4 competition which features teams in nine English regions, Scotland and Wales.
Forty-20 Managing Editor Phil Caplan said: “Our strapline is to 'treasure the old and embrace the new' which is perfectly encapsulated in Tier 4. We are as passionate about the sport being played in a traditional league like the Yorkshire Mens as we are in expansion areas and look forward to promoting this terrific grassroots competition which contains some of the most fervent advocates of the sport.”
Yorkshire Men’s League Chairman, Stuart Sheard said: “We’re very pleased to link up with Forty-20 magazine, they are innovative and support what we’re trying to achieve.
“Clubs will benefit from being featured in the magazine and also from the support and profile they will provide.
“We want to continue developing the sport and get even more people involved and this is a positive means of helping with this.”
