Widnes Vikings half-back Joe Mellor is the only player to be charged following the 16th round of Stobart Super League fixtures.

The 21-year-old has been handed a Grade B charge for a dangerous 30th-minute throw on Huddersfield Giants’ Scott Grix on Sunday.

Mellor has until 11am tomorrow to submit an early guilty plea, with the alternative being appearing before the Rugby Football League disciplinary panel tomorrow afternoon.

Three players were given formal cautions, the most notable being Wigan Warriors’ Sam Tomkins for kicking out at Leeds Rhinos' Jamie Jones-Buchanan in the tackle during their 50-6 win at Headingley on Friday.

Leeds forward Ryan Bailey has also been warned after using his head and hands in a tackle, with team-mate Lee Smith told off for kicking out at Brett Finch.
