Rhinos, Wolves and Warriors undefeated in 9s
After the first round of fixtures in the Rugby League 9s tournament, Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors are all undefeated.
Leeds beat hosts Featherstone Rovers, Huddersfield Giants and Bradford Bulls in the opening festival in the East League to get off to a winning start whilst Warrington defeated Salford City Reds, Cumbria and St Helens on home soil at Wilderspool for a perfect start to the competition in the West.
Aldershot Military Stadium was the venue for Wigan’s 100 per cent start to their 9s campaign, with the Warriors defeating hosts London Broncos, Widnes Vikings and The University of Gloucestershire All Golds.
Gloucester All Golds got their first ever win in the 9s against Widnes, beating the Vikings 32-12.
The Hull 9s derby ended 12-12 at Craven Park and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats beat Castleford Tigers 12-4 in their derby match.
Huddersfield Giants, Castleford Tigers, Salford City Reds and Widnes Vikings have yet to win in this year’s tournament.
