Rugby League 9s ready for kick off
The 2012 Rugby League 9s series kicks off tonight when all four of this week’s festivals set to entertain crowds with some action-packed Rugby League action.
The Rugby League 9s involves all 13 UK-based Super League clubs, Featherstone Rovers, Gloustershire All Golds and a combined Cumbrian team, and kicks off with festivals hosted by Warrington Wolves, London Broncos, Hull KR and Featherstone Rovers.
Wilderspool Stadium will play host to Warrington’s festival tonight and will see Warrington Wolves, Cumbria, Salford City Reds and St Helens playing in a round robin format with the gates opening at 6.15pm. Tickets cost just £5 adult and £2 children.
London Broncos are taking their festival to Aldershot’s Military Stadium which will see the Broncos facing Widnes Vikings, Wigan Warriors and the Gloucester All Golds. The festival starts at 5.30pm with tickets costing £3 adult and £1 under-16s.
Hull KR’s festival at Craven Park opens at 5.30pm and will see the Robins battle with Hull FC only three days after they met at Magic Weekend. Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Castleford Tigers also travel to Hull. Tickets cost £6 adult and £3 concessions.
The fourth festival sees Co-operative Championship champions Featherstone Rovers welcome Bradford Bulls, Huddersfield Giants and Leeds Rhinos to The Big Fellas Stadium where gates open at 5.00pm. Tickets cost £5 adult, £3 oncessions and £1 children.
