Liontrust sponsor London Junior League
WCAM, who have been sponsoring the league for the last two years, were recently acquired by Liontrust but the sponsorship will continue thanks to Stephen Bailey, who is co-head of the Liontrust Macro fund management team.
Stephen, who was responsible for the original WCAM sponsorship, said: “WCAM has been brought into an environment in which it can flourish and go forward. At Liontrust, we have the resources and infrastructure to grow our client base and assets under management.”
Reflecting on the company's continuation of the sponsorship of the London Junior League, he said: "This is a new venture for Liontrust but the Company was very keen to continue the sponsorship and support the League. Liontrust is attracted by the fact it is community based and provides young people with the opportunity to play rugby league.
“It follows Liontrust’s sponsorship of the re-enactment of the Scott-Amundsen race to the South Pole by two teams from the British Army from November 2011 to the end of January 2012.
"I want to see the sport flourish in the south east and hopefully the Broncos can turn their season around."
Martin Coyd, chair of the London Junior and Youth League, welcomed Liontrust's sponsorship saying: "The London RL Youth and Junior League has established solid foundations over the past five years and is now in a position to expand and develop, offering lots of opportunities for players, volunteers and families to engage in our sport and have a load of fun.
"The support of Liontrust has given us the confidence and ability to invest in what we do, providing a safe place for all our participants and an opportunity to learn and create great competitions. As well as the clear benefits we can see now, the fruits and results of this investment will develop for many years to come.
"I would like to thank Steve Bailey and his colleagues at Liontrust for the continued support and look forward to building on an already great partnership."
