Mullally heading for Vikings exit

Widnes back-row forward Anthony Mullally is set to leave the Vikings after rejecting an improved contract offer from the club.
The 20-year-old, who spent last season with Brisbane Broncos, has played in eight of the Vikings’ 12 matches so far on their return to Stobart Super League but the club say his agent has made known his player’s desire to go to the open market to test his value.
Widnes director of rugby Paul Cullen said: “We are satisfied that all efforts to create a clear pathway to Super League and to improve and extend Anthony’s contract have been maximised.
“However, we have to respect a player’s wish to seek other offers.”
