Warrington Wolves forward Garreth Carvell has been handed a two-match ban after being found guilty of kicking out in the tackle during his side’s 46-12 Stobart Super League win over Widnes Vikings last Thursday.

The England prop, who was charged by the Rugby Football League’s match-review panel with the grade C offence, was also fined £300 when he appeared in front of the disciplinary committee in Leeds.

Carvell will miss the Wolves’ Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth-round tie at Keighley on Sunday and their league game against Castleford Tigers a week later.

Bradford's Heath L'Estrange has received a two match ban following his part in a dangerous tackle against Jamie Peacock during the Good Friday derby which Bulls won 12 - 4.

Bryn Hargreaves was originally sent off by referee Ben Thaler after the incident but the match review panel concluded that L'Estrange was culpable and so called for him to attend a disciplinary hearing.

The Bulls hooker opted to take the Early Guilty Plea and so will miss the next two Bulls fixtures against Doncaster in the Challenge Cup and Super League leaders Huddersfield Giants the following week.
