Huddersfield 10 v 36 Wakefield

Defences dominated the opening exchanges with only a try to centre Dan Cahill and a conversion from Chad Moss giving Wakefield the advantage.

They extended their lead to 10-0 by half time after a superb breakaway try from Adam Richardson and really clicked into gear for the second period.

With their forwards dominant, Wakefield ran in five second half efforts to take full control of the game, although to their credit Huddersfield kept going and were rewarded with tries to Connor Squires and Tom Shaw.

Man-of-the-match went to Wakefield’s Scott Talbot.
