Haggerty heads for Wales

Championship One new boys North Wales Crusaders have signed Widnes Vikings forward Kurt Haggerty on a dual registration.
The 23-year-old second rower played in the Vikings’ opening three matches of Stobart Super League but was recently suspended for a breach of club discipline.
Haggerty, who has also played for St Helens, Carcassonne, Leigh Centurions and Blackpool, is set to make his Crusaders debut against Rochdale Hornets at The Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium on Sunday.
Crusaders coach Clive Griffiths said: “He has Super League experience and has also played at the top level in France.
“He’ll help us a lot over the next few weeks and will bring his vast knowledge and quality to the squad.”
