The new website for the North West Men’s League which kicks off on April 21 has been launched today (Friday March 9).

As well as covering all news, fixtures, results and league tables from the competition www.northwestrugbyleague.co.uk will also cover all other grassroots Rugby League news from the region.

North West Men’s League Chairman, John McMullen said: “We are just seven weeks away from the first round of the competition and everyone is looking forward to the big kick-off.

“The league structure for the 2012 North West Men’s League has had a few small alterations with the addition of Oldham based Higginshaw to the Tier 4 completion.

“The war of the roses competition kicks off this Saturday March 10 and we have 13 fixtures taking place. Teams have been split into eight groups of four and will play three group games with the winners and runners up progressing through to the knock out stages.”

The ‘war of the roses’ will eventually culminate in a North West final on May 5 with the overall North West winner then facing the Yorkshire winners.
