Tigers introduce Family Zone on game days

Keen to encourage new supporters to Super League, Castleford Tigers have introduced a designated area for families at the PROBIZ Coliseum; the ‘Family Zone’.
The South East corner; between the Main Stand and the boxes behind the Railway End of the ground is being turned into a more vibrant area with a greater amount of amenities and a bespoke code of conduct which will be in operation from tomorrow’s home clash with Leeds Rhinos; kick off 8pm.
Alex Green, community manager, is acting on feedback from families in creating the ‘Family Zone’ and commented:
“The idea of the ‘Family Zone’ is to create a better atmosphere for families which in turn will enable us to make a better impression on first time attendees and young families; however anyone can view the games there providing they abide by the newly introduced code of conduct which will clamp down in particularly on swearing and smoking.
“Being located near Tiger Town, the chosen area is the most convenient place to be if you have children. It also has easy access to facilities such as the Tigers bar, toilets with baby changing provisions and food stands.
“There will be an increased number of stewards in the ‘Family Zone’, who will be badged and numbered to make it easier to control the area, and alongside this a new complaints procedure will allow the club to deal with issues quickly, throughout the stadium.”
