Hood set for Rhinos bow

Leeds Rhinos have confirmed that 20-year-old hooker Liam Hood will make his Stobart Super League debut in tomorrow’s derby at Castleford Tigers.
The Bradford-born academy product caught the eye in the Rhinos’ Boxing Day friendly against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats but an ankle injury ruled him out of contention for a senior call-up until now.
“Liam Hood will make his Super League debut,” said coach Brian McDermott.
“Liam was impressive for us in pre-season and was unfortunate not to make his debut last season after being 18th man on a number of occasions.
“He is an exciting young player who possesses all the skills to succeed at the top level.”
