Lee to face committee over high tackle

Huddersfield Giants utility player Tommy Lee will appear in front of the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee tomorrow after being charged with a high tackle.

Huddersfield Giants utility player Tommy Lee will appear in front of the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee tomorrow after being charged with a high tackle.

The former Hull FC and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats half-back or loose forward was placed on report by referee Phil Bentham for the challenge on Warrington Wolves stand-off Lee Briers during the Giants’ 32-22 Stobart Super League defeat on Saturday.

Lee was today charged by the RFL’s match-review panel with a grade C offence, which carries a ban of two to three matches if the player is found guilty.

Hull prop Sam Moa will also appear before the committee after he became the first player to be sent off this season.

The Tongan forward is accused of a dangerous shoulder charge on London Broncos hooker Julien Rinaldi during Hull’s 22-14 victory at the KC Stadium yesterday, a grade B offence which carries a ban of one or two games.
