On Sunday 25 March at Medway Park, the London Broncos Rugby League Foundation, Medway Dragons Rugby League Club, Medway Council and the RFL will team up to make history by setting a world record for the longest game of Wheelchair Rugby League ever.

The game will start at 8am and run through the day until 8pm, introduce over 250 new people to Wheelchair Rugby League and, most importantly, raise money for Sport Relief.

The record attempt will engage schools, colleges and community clubs as well as other disability sport clubs and the Wheelchair Rugby League community, giving people the chance to experience Wheelchair Rugby League, and showcase the game to a wider audience.

There is an open invitation for participants; everyone is welcome at Medway Park on the 25 March to take part.

All the organisers ask is that you can commit to at least an hour, anytime between 8am and 8pm, and that if you take part you can commit to raising at least £10 in personal sponsorship.

The club  will provide all the sponsorship forms, fundraising advice and support you need.

On the day there will also be taster sessions where you can learn how to use the chairs, learn the basic rules of game and understand basic match play before you go on court to take part in the world record match.

The game will be played to standard Wheelchair Rugby League rules but with the emphasis on enjoying the game and with the objective of introducing as many new players as possible to the sport during the course of the day.
