Super 8 returns to action

Champions Leeds Met will be looking for win number nine when they welcome UCLAN to West Yorkshire.
Paul Fletcher’s side look determined to keep hold of the title they won last year and it could be a long afternoon for a UCLAN side that are still searching for their first win of the campaign.
In the other game it’s second against third as Loughborough entertain Gloucestershire.
Loughborough are hot on the heels of pace-setters Leeds and will want to go one better than last season when they suffered defeat in the Grand Final.
The midlands-based side have made a strong start to the season and have tasted defeat just once so far, a narrow 16-6 lose to Leeds.
Gloucestershire also have designs on a play-off spot and coach Ken Stone will be happy with his side’s performances so far.
Six wins from eight games mean his side are well-placed in third spot and a strong finish to the regular season will see them be a real threat come the play-offs.
After a reduced fixture list this week a full complement of fixtures is planned for next Wednesday (25 January).
