Oldham clear debt

OLDHAM Rugby League Club is happy to announce that it has cleared its outstanding liabilities

OLDHAM Rugby League Club is happy to announce that it has cleared its outstanding liabilities to the Inland Revenue in relation to historical debt.

A sum of £5,699.28p, which included a significant amount of interest, had been the subject of an HMRC winding-up petition, which will now be automatically dismissed.

The debt was already paid in full before the announcement of the winding-up petition, but too late to stop it.

"We are living in tough times economically, particularly at this time of year when we have had no match-day income since last September," Said club chairman Chris Hamilton.

"The postponement, twice, of the Law Cup game against Rochdale Hornets doesn't help, but we are optimistic that the game will be played this coming Sunday and hopeful that our loyal fans will get behind us in this game and throughout the season."
