Obst joins Cougars

Sam Obst, the former Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Hull FC half-back or hooker, is to follow in his father’s footsteps after signing for Co-operative Championship club Keighley.
The 30-year-old Australian was a free agent after being released from the last year of his contract with Hull and has agreed a 12-month deal with the Cougars.
Obst, whose father Tony played for Keighley in the 1970s, will link up at Cougar Park with his former Wakefield team-mates Michael Korkidas and Jason Demetriou, the Cougars player-coach.
