Durham Tigers are based in Bishop Auckland in County Durham only three miles from the village where his family are from.

North East Regional Manager Jo Drapier, said: “Rugby League in the North East is growing at rapid pace with the introduction of Rugby League scholarships.

“I am sure that in the near future with the continued work and dedication that there will be more players from the North East representing England Rugby League.

“There will also be a full coach from the North East heading to the Four Nations final to cheer on Chris and the rest of the England players.”
