Record crowd expected for England v Kiwis
The record books will be re-written at the KC Stadium, Hull on Saturday night when England take on New Zealand in a do-or-die Gillette Four Nations battle (6.00pm).
With a place in the final at stake, a record crowd for an international between England and the Kiwis in this country will watch the action unfold and fans are being advised to move quickly to secure their seat for this historic clash.
The highest ever attendance for England v New Zealand in this country is the crowd of 19,360 which saw the host nation emerge victorious in the 2009 Gillette Four Nations at Huddersfield.
New Zealand will be making their first appearance at the KC Stadium since 20,324 fans watched Great Britain defeat the Kiwis 44-0 in 2007 to seal their first series victory in 14 years and England will be hoping they can repeat that performance this weekend.
“There has been massive interest in this fixture for some weeks now and it’s going to be terrific to see a record crowd watch England take on the Kiwis,” said RFL Chief Executive Nigel Wood.
“Rugby League fans are responding in a fantastic way because they know it is a must-see fixture with the stakes being so high. Anyone who hasn’t yet purchased their ticket needs to move quickly to make sure they don’t miss out.”
