Australian prop Michael Korkidas has left Wakefield to link up with his former Wildcats team-mate Jason Demetriou at Co-operative Championship club Keighley Cougars.

The 30-year-old Korkidas, who made 142 appearances in two spells at Wakefield, is a major signing for the Cougars, who won promotion from Championship One in Demetriou’s first season as player-coach.

“I have known JD for a long time and the opportunity to team up with him and the squad at Keighley Cougars is one that I will relish,” he said.
