Skirlaugh and Temple Moor scoop raffle prizes

Biggest selling clubs and schools named.

After another great effort all the raffle tickets have been counted and the top selling clubs and schools for the 2011 Community Game Raffle can be announced.

Skirlaugh were the biggest selling club, shifting an amazing 3,589 tickets and in the process making a staggering £2,512 for the club coffers.

The club will be rewarded with some great prizes that includes £1,500 worth of kit & equipment donated by Gillette, a coaching session with the England coaching staff and a six-seater hospitality box for the 2012 Super League Grand Final.

Myton Warriors made it a top two finish for Hull sides, with the 2010 winners this year selling 3,001 tickets to claim second prize.

The top five was completed by a trio of West Yorkshire clubs as Birkenshaw, Methley Royals and Wyke finished third, fourth and fifth place respectively.

After setting the pace for most of the competition Temple Moor High finished top of the pile in the schools competition.

The Leeds-based school sold an impressive 1,900 tickets which in turn helped raise £1,330.

Wigan’s Deanery High, Hollingworth Business & Enterprise College, The South Leeds Academy and Sirius Academy of Hull completed the winning roster.

RESPECT Barrier set (60m & 120m) donated by Touchline Logos and an England shirt signed by Steve McNamara donated by ISC.  Plus 20/20 Cricket tickets donated by Yorkshire and Lancashire Cricket Clubs

3. BIRKENSHAW
£150 nutritional products donated by Sci-Max and an England shirt signed by Steve McNamara donated by ISC

4. METHLEY ROYALS
A selection of Super League & Championship signed shirts and balls donated by the clubs to start your own raffle

5. WYKE
England shirt signed by Steve McNamara donated by Gillette


SCHOOLS
1. TEMPLE MOOR HIGH SCHOOL
£600 worth of kit & equipment donated by Gillette and a coaching session with the England coaching staff

2. DEANERY HIGH SCHOOL
Iron Bru Mountain Bike donated by Iron Bru and a England shirt signed by Steve McNamara donated by ISC

3. HOLLINGWORTH BUSINESS & ENTERPRISE COLLEGE
120 bottles of Strathmore water donated by Barr Soft Drinks and 25 backpacks donated by Bulldog Sports

4. THE SOUTH LEEDS ACADEMY
A selection of Super League & Championship signed shirts and balls donated by the clubs to start your own raffle

5. SIRIUS ACADEMY
England shirt signed by Steve McNamara donated by ISC


The draw for the 2011 Community Game Raffle will take place this Saturday at the Community Congress which is again been staged at The Point, Old Trafford, home of Lancashire CCC.
