Huddersfield Giants have signed Featherstone prop forward Tony Tonks, who was a member of Rovers’ Co-operative Championship Grand-Final winning team.

The 26-year-old, who was in the Featherstone team that beat Sheffield Eagles 40-4 at Warrington yesterday, has signed a 12-month deal with the Giants.

“I’ve got the chance to prove I’m now ready to play at Super League level, which is something I’m looking forward to doing,” he said.

“That’s a challenge that excites me and I believe that the Giants are the perfect club to help to bring the best out of me.”
