Harlequins RL have signed Australian prop Jarrad Hickey, who made eight substitute appearances for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats this year.

The 26-year-old former Canterbury Bulldogs forward has signed a 12-month contract with the Londoners and becomes their 10th recruit for 2012.

Harlequins coach Rob Powell said: “Last season Jarrad gave a good indication of what he is capable of and we are keen to continue working with him to get the best out of him next season.”

Hickey said: “I’m really excited to be heading to London to play my rugby down there next season. It’s a big move for me and I am looking forward to a big year next year.”
