The RFL are running a winter Touch Rugby League at the Soccer Dome in Wigan which kicks off on Wednesday October 5 and run for ten weeks between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Over 230 players and 23 sides competed in the inaugural 11 week competition earlier this year and there was a wide range of different teams involved from corporate sides to seasoned Touch Rugby League teams.

Touch Rugby League is a simple yet exciting game which promotes the fundamental skills of running, handling and support play, whilst developing the basic principles of attack and defence.

The game involves minimal contact and is all about playing the game on the field and also the social atmosphere afterwards.

Entry costs £285 per team for the 10 weeks, which is required to cover pitch and refereeing costs.

Therefore for a team of 10 players it equates to only a small cost of £2.85 per week per player.

Each team will enjoy themed weeks and events, administration for the league including fixtures, leagues and team packs, two 20 minute games per week and qualified referees in charge of all matches.
