New Yorkshire Mens League kicks off
The interim season of the RFL’s new Yorkshire Men’s League kicks off this Saturday September 10.
20 teams from across the region are involved in the shortened interim season which will run to November and be used as a grading process ahead of the first full season kicking off in March 2012.
A new website for the Yorkshire region - www.yorkshirerl.co.uk - has been launched to cover all community Rugby League news from the region and will host all fixtures, results, match reports and information from the new competition.
Yorkshire Regional Manager, Martin Flynn said: “It’s a new start and a new and exciting opportunity for clubs to play against different teams they might not have faced before.
“The Yorkshire Men’s League interim season will be used as a grading process and it’s also an opportunity for players to make their claim for places before the start of the first full season in March.
“The launch of this new website to cover Rugby League in Yorkshire gives us another means to promote the work that is going on at the grassroots in Yorkshire. It will also be the place to go to for fixtures, results and match reports for all the teams involved in the Yorkshire Men’s League.”
