Leigh Centurions player Mick Govin has been suspended for two years...

Leigh Centurions player Mick Govin has been suspended for two years after he was found guilty of breaching the RFL’s anti-doping regulations.


Govin provided a sample containing benzoylecgonine (a metabolite of cocaine) after a match against Hunslet Hawks on May 22, 2011.      


The player admitted the charge in writing and has accepted the mandatory two-year period of suspension.


Govin’s suspension commences from June 12, 2011, which is the day his provisional ban commenced, and expires at midnight on June 11, 2013.
